MEAT

MEAT is a london-born fashion label set up by designer duo Bo Claridge and Alis Pelleschi, whose handmade clothes are made of 100% British rubber. Their candy-coloured latex designs are influenced by fetish-club wear, Barbie and Ken and the 90s.

MEAT champions the idea that 'the luxurious and unusual material' of latex can escape its fetish roots to be reworked as unique, forward-thinking apparel. Their clothes are my idea of heaven- cool, candy, crazy and ratchett as hell- stuff I can only dream of pulling off/ affording.

Their clothing has been seen on Rita Ora, Azaelia Banks and Brooke Candy (see above: the maddest, baddest bitch ever... more on her later), and has featured on Trendstopvice.comwonderlandmagazine.com and bullettmedia.com, as well as on the cover of 'V magazine'

'Grunge' by Michael Lavine

The photography book 'Grunge' by Michael Lavine:

great book. Half street photography and half band portraits, it captures entirely the two greatest decades in the history of grunge. It features studio portraits and  backstage shoots of the greatest grunge artists such as Nirvana, SoundgardenMudhoneyPearl Jam and Sonic Youth, and for those interested in grunge music, I really recommend investigating some of the more obscure bands showcased in this book.
'Grunge' is a homage both to grunge music and style- think layered leatherdenim and Belstaff parkas
